Betsy needs to do something about the food at the show. Coffee, rolls for artists were great, but the vendor was terrible. Weather was a big factor on SUnday, it was terrible, I believe (hope?) kept crowd down.

I am following up on client contacts so it is too early for me to come up with a toal sales figure. So far I am pleased, but my commissions often comes in after shows.

I assume that if the weather had been more favorable, sales would have improved. The show's quality was excellent.

I feel that the promoters did everything they could to get people out to the show. There was just a feeling among many of the buyers that they came to see and connect, but not buy this year. Almost like they needed to let the craftspeople know that they plan on buying in the future, just not this year. Still, all in all, it was a good show. I was pleased.Thank you

I was disappointed that the show did not appear on the big Center sign in the front of the bldg. I only saw little cardboard signs in the street medians.

I wish there were more people (clients) at the Westchester show.…

I've exhibited at the Westchester Craft Show for at least 15 years. This year's sales were my worst ever, but this economy is also the worst I have ever experienced so I don't attribute the shortfall to the show in particular. That said, I think the attendance is low, especially given the high quality of exhibitors.
|
It was pretty easy to load and unload, which was much appreciated, and the quality of the artists was good. Considering the economic environment, the crowds were pretty good too. However, while not totally unexpected, few people were buying. Also, the staff inside the building was disorganized and communication before the show was sparse. One thing that upset us very much was that there was no banner or sign outside the center indicating that the show was taking place (unlike the ones for the computer show taking place next door). Nobody driving by knew that the show existed so it was impossible to get the casual "passer by" to attend. We will probably apply again, but we haven't made up our mind yet. It depends on what is happening to the economy.

Music that everyone could listen to.
|
OUR EXPERIENCE IN WESTCHESTER HAS BEEN POSITIVE UNTIL THIS YEAR AND WE ATTRIBUTE OUR WOES TO THE SEVERE ECONOMIC TROUBLES THAT ARE ESPECIALLY ACUTE THIS YEAR----OTHERWISE IT'S A FINE SHOW.

Please spend MORE money on advertising next time ................
|
Thank you for a wonderful show. All our regular customers stopped by - especially on Friday. So we had a great show - increased sales by 25% from last year. Thanks so much Betsy!
|
there were plenty of banners and electronic board adverts for other shows at this venue, but not anything for our show. You'd never know from the outside that we were there at all. Most of my sales were to long-term customers from my own mailing list. I hope you forward this to Betsy. But I also say that the whole show scence is the Titanic going down, mostly due to demographics.

There weren't any sighs for the show outside the center! Not even a poster! How could people even find us?
