| A few things were certain about the 2010 Magic City Art Connection Contemporary Arts Festival: Linn Park is a great place to host an arts festival; there was a lot of great work to choose from if you were out to buy; and closing the show on Saturday due to threat of severe thunderstorms has a major impact on an artist’s bottom line.
This was the 27th art festival for MCAC, which is just part of a big weekend in Birmingham. It’s not just about the visual arts. Many of the visitors to the festival are there for the music (3 stages), workshops/entertainment for kids, and Corks And Chefs, a wine and food tasting event that was open pretty much the same hours as the arts/crafts sections . . . |
